Hiking with canned food ? How much can a ordinary man cary and for how many days will it last ?

Or wont the gear get a bit to heavy if u do that p.s iam planning to be gone for about a month before i can go into the next town.
You need dried and vacuum packed food … No Cans! First of all what you pack in you HAVE to pack out. So those cans will be a lot heavier for a longer time than those foil pouches. Even regular grocery stores have vacuum packed food. Tuna, salmon, beef, rice, pasta, etc. are just a few items available at the store. Go to your local camping outfitter for more items (REI, for example).
