  1. How well do five adults fit into an midsize SUV…?
I’m looking to rent a car for myself and four friends (five girls in their 20s). We’ll be driving around town, but also taking a trip 2.5hrs away and I want to make sure our rental will be comfortable for the trip.

I found a midsize SUV (ala SATURN VUE or FORD ESCAPE) for very cheap… but I’m wondering if it will be functional?? I just don’t want to spend twice as much to get a mini van, but don’t want to be cramped for hours, either.
ps: the tallest person in the back will be 5′7-5′8…

  2. perfectly

  3. Ford Escape will be fine also I think a Saturn will be fine too.

  4. I’m 6′4" and I rode in the backseat of an Escape and I can tell you that I was kind of cramped. Your best bet is going to be, like you said, a minivan or a large sedan like a Lincoln Town Car.

  5. I would recommend getting a bigger SUV like a Ford Explorer or a Toyota 4Runner if you want yourself and 4 of your friends to be comfortable
