Already have water purifcation, fire, food and protection covered. What about a straight up first aid kit? Looking for something that is light because my bag is getting heavy. Don’t need/want a mobile hospital. Posting this in hunting because I know you guys know what a SHTF bag is.
As a guy with a lot of first aid/ems/wilderness first aid experiance, the best kit is one you build yourself. Most of the off the shelf kits are mostly filled with band aids, and the good usable stuff is lower quality. Usually the best thing in the off the shlef kit is the bag it comes in.
Get a copy of the NOLS Wilderness Medicine book and review for a good kit contents that wont break your back or wallet.
Here’s some medical kits you can chooose from:

First of all there is no "Best first aid kit".It would be better if you just build your own it’s a bit cheaper and you can pick what you want in it, unless you are willing to spend around 30$ for a good one from a store.

Just a regular kit would suffice I would think.
