When my grandmother has her blood pressure high, she tends to have confusion, and maybe the swelling on her feet is associated with that. Is there a first aid that can help lower her blood pressure without using medicines?
Swelling of the feet indicates that her heart or kidney is involved. High blood pressure may cause heart attack, stroke or acute kidney failure.
Check the blood pressure and function of her kidney (for microalbuminuria, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen) and heart (ECG, Echocardiography and X-ray of the chest).
Adopt DASH diet (The Mediterranean diet).
Consult your doctor.
