Let’s say that someone has a cut that isn’t so very serious. What are the basic first aid procedures in that case? Take me through the opening up of the first aid kit. What do I look for? How do I recognize it?
First look at the cut.
Clean the area and the cut with plain clean water and dry it or use cleaning alcohol (use "Bactine" if it is in the box, it does not sting, both water and alcohol do sting ), if the blood is still coming out then do not clean with water just clean around it and the blood will clean the wound, now apply the pressure on the wound using clean gauze or cloth from the First Aid Box.
Apply any antiseptic if it is available, then bandage it, or put bandage tape (it is call "BanAid", that is the bran name comes in all asorted sizes. Keep the area dry and watch it if swelling increases then take the person to a Dr. If it starts going down just clean the wound if needed or just change the ban aid at least once in 24 hours, this is your oportunity to chek the condition of the wound too..
