Is it legal for the Vice Principle to interrupt class and search everyones backpacks?

the sub has everyone leave their bags and backpacks in the front of the room, then the VP comes in and talks about how he has found lots of tagging on the desk in that classroom and starts going through all the students stuff….without asking for permission, without letting them know that they had the option to refuse, or is it within the VP's authority to not advise the students of their rights while in school?

well if it is a matter of security they are aloud to check your backpacks. but anything like strip search is illegal.

    yes, the faculty at your school can search/examine any property you bring onto school grounds whether it is in your backpack or your locker or not.

    Students have no rights and are subject to school rules. If all punks had to do was hide guns, knives, drugs in their backpacks or lockers and whine about their rights the schools would be war zones. Live with it kiddies.
